The position is captured in profile from deck level: supporting forearm down, feet stacked, the line from head to heel straight across the lower frame. Successive exposures from the same tripod mark show the same shape resumed with only minor adjustments between frames — a hold reset and repeated rather than varied. The skyline supplies both backdrop and light: the sets were shot at dusk or after dark, the figure silhouetted against illuminated towers.
